If you hook a second ground up to your motor block will the existing loose ground wire be grounded?

If you hook a second ground up to your motor block will the existing loose ground wire be grounded?

If it's loose, it's a poor ground or no ground at all. Electricity will always take the path of least resistance, so when a circuit requires the path provide by your old ground, it will use the new one instead...either completely, or a small current may flow through the old ground wire.
