In New Hampshire where two side roads with no yellow lines meet at a road with a double yellow line that goes straight through and there are no stop or yield signs who has the right of way?
Realistically you should never assume anyone has the right of way at any intersection. Just because a vehicle approaching from a side road has a red light doesn't mean that they will stop. Always keep an eye on cars approaching the same intersection as you and be prepared to yield even if you know you have the right of way. If you follow this rule you will never have an accident.
With that said, the main road highway will always have the right of way at an intersection. If a vandal removes a stop sign from a minor road that doesn't mean that a person driving that minor road will now have the right of way. They will still have to yield regardless of whether they know it or not. It's unfortunate but ignorance of the law doesn't protect you from paying the penalties. Courts can still overturn convictions depending on the circumstances though I would never willingly put myself at the mercy of the court system.
Be careful out there, driving is a big responsibility and the consequences of misjudgements are very high. Always pay attention to what is going on ahead of you, to each side of you and even behind you.
