My name is on my car along with my fathers name and i paid an amount on the car when it was purchased and he paid the rest. I am wondering who has legal possession of the car because he has taken it from me. Also my mother paid for my tags but they are in my name. Who has legal possession of those?

If you and your father are both listed as co-owners on the title of

this vehicle, then either of you may legally possess it and whichever the two

of you happens to be in possession of this vehicle at any given time would also then be in legal possession of the tags affixed to it (in my opinion).
