if you are arrested on a warrent do the police have to read you your rights

Question

if you are arrested on a warrent do the police have to read you your rights

Answer

Failure to give Miranda warnings simply means the Police cannot use any custodial statements, i.e., statements made while in custody or through interrogation, cannot be used against you, the defendant. Hence, "you have the right to remain silent"

Failure to give Miranda warnings does not mean the arrest is wholly unlawful
