How do you stop a new stereo losing its memory in a 04 astra?

How do you stop a new stereo losing its memory in a 04 astra?

check your wiring diagram supplied with the radio.

ISO connector blocks on the Astra should be plug and play but......

2 +ive power connections into the radio.

1 live all the time, 1 live with ignition.

chances are........ there connected the wrong way round..........

AFTER CHECKING AGAINST YOUR DIAGRAM!!

consider swapping the RED and YELLOW wires on your radio.

if in any doubt, any at all, use a multimeter to check......... or take to a local garage.

I have seen the 'blue electrical faries' escape from incorrectly fitted ICE before, you only get to do it wrong once!!
