Question

I received a ticket and at the top it has a place for county, which the officer left blank. The ticket does not have the city the offense occurred at printed on it anywhere. Am I right to think the county does not have jurisdiction because of his error and it must be dismissed?

Answer

It is possible for it to be dismissed because of the lack of notice, however, the officer can easily amend the ticket to reflect that while in court. So you may win the battle but lose the war so to speak. You should talk to an attorney in the county where the violation occurred.
