What kinds of tools did the clothing dyers use in the middle ages?
During the middle ages dying clothes or material was mostly carriedout by women. Various fruit berries, like juniper and redcurrants, would be collected and reduced to pulp by some form of pressingmethod, then heated and strained to extract all the colour fromthem; very much like apples are pressed to make cider and grapes tomake wine.
