Question

I purchase 2 bedroom sets from logan furniture on Feb. 6, 2012. On March 3, 2012 they delivered 1 bedroom set and 2 pieces of the second bedroom set. I asked where was the rest they said it would be in in a day or two. I called repeatedly to get my other pieces (bed & fram and night stand) the continued to tell me it was coming. On one of my numerous phone calls they said it would definately be delivered on 3/14. It did not come on 3/15 I went to the store they told me it was on its way from ashley furniture. I saw my set now on clearance as a discontinued item. I asked could I get the difference in the price since my order has not been completed they said no. I told them that I wanted them to pick up the 2 pieces they delivered and give me back my money they said no. I went there again on 3/20 and asked them to pick up their 2 pieces to the set that was never completely delivered they said no. I told them I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau they said so. They also stated that the pieces came in today and if I don't except delivery within 7 days he will sell them off and not replace them. This does not sound ethical or legal to me.

Answer

You could have rejected the delivery when it was incomplete. Now it may be too late. Report them to the BBB.

Ethically it is unsound.
