Question

If I am considered an "exempt" employee can my employer work me unlimited hours without compensation over 40 hours. My employer does not pay overtime, straight time, or compensatory time over 40 hours.

Answer

Yes, unfortunately, if you're truly an exempt employee under U.S. Dept.

of Labor rules and regulations and you have no contract nor

collective bargaining type of agreement which would prohibit such actions

on the part of your employer.
