Question

i am out of state and need to ammend child support order to include support through college I can't afford an attorney but out child support enforcement requires the ammended order can I do this myself

Answer

If the support order is under California jurisdiction and law, you would never get that amended order. Under California law, unless a child is seriously disabled, child support terminates either when the child turns 18 AND is no longer a full time high school student, OR turns 19 no matter what the educational status, whichever comes first. No exceptions.

Answer

I agree with Mr. McCormick. Unless your child is severely disabled, the legal obligation to pay child support ends.
