Question

I have an incident with a shop that I discovered replaced only half of my brakes last year, when they only replaced half and left the other rusty old half on. I've been driving around for almost a year on half bad brakes, that I thought were brand new! Do I have a case to sue the shop? For endangerment or something perhaps?

Answer

No, only for the cost of the other half of the brakes (if you can prove it) +

court costs. (Things that might have or could've happened are not recoverable as damages under American civil jurisprudence and are considered as merely speculative or speculation.)
