Where is a biography of Jimmy Capps including birth and death and everything in between?
I'm not certain, but I think he is the same one that I saw perform a few times at Beacon Lake in Raleigh, NC. That was in the late fifties, and he was a teenager at the time.

Further research revealed that his hometown is Benson, NC (about 25 miles southeast of Raleigh, NC). He was 19 years old when he went to Nashville, and has been playing at the Grand Ol Opry 51 years (started in/about 1959). He would have been about 16 years old when I saw him at Beacon Lake. The Town of Benson, NC holds an annnual "Jimmy Capps Day".
