My basement apt. flooded a week ago. Because the landlord refused to pay for damages to the property & my personal belongings, I had the building inspector, inspected the property & found out I am living in an unregistered, illegal apt. with bad pluming. can I take him to court for rent that has been paid or damages to my personal property?
