Question

how long does a warrent stay active on a fraud case in Wisconsin?

Answer

As far as I know, arrest warrants on WI can remain active forever, since all statutes of limitations are tolled by issuance of the warrant. As a practical matter, local clerks of court sometimes will purge extremely old warrants on minor matters from their system as an administrative convenience. If you have an extremely old warrant, however, a local lawyer can probably negotiate a favorable resolution with the DA's office eliminating the need for you to appear in court if it is a very old minor charge, assuming that you have not been in any sort of new trouble.
