Question

I'm in the beginning process of getting divorced. My husband has retained counsel and is making demands that seem one-sided at best. I've been a stay-at-home mom since our children were born and don't have a steady income while he makes a solid six-figure income. I can't afford a lawyer to represent me. Can I require my husband to pay for my lawyer since he is making unreasonable demands that I can't fight on my own?

Answer

At a minimum you should contact Brevard County Legal Aid for assistance. You should also contact attorneys who offer a free initial consultation to explore oprions.
