The Chinese Kung Fu can be traced back all the way into the prehistoric times when men used tools made of materials such as wood and stone (specific to different time periods) to hunt animals. Due to this fact, many Kung Fu moves imitate animal movements. Hence, I do not think that there is a specific PART of China where it began. However, the most famous is perhaps the Shaolin Temple in the Szechuan province.
